Zaidi does all the shoe statement makers proud with a classic throw @ the bushlord. On a separate note, who was the photographer? was he in the know?

Beijing's oscar worthy nomination in their olympics
Lets face it. The modern equivalent of Nazi olympics was is and will be the 08 beijing olympics. A growing scary power, to which the rest of the world, namely the western white world, pretty much kowtows to and looks aside at its cruelties and acts of indiscretions.....Pity what else does the world need to see that it is dealing with another evil reich.....Hmmm
#6 A country gets hard on for superficiality and hair bands
India goes gaga over Rock On , the movie, acclaims Dostana as its first gay acceptance movie etc etc etc
India and indians continue to fool themselves into being uber cool or uber acceptance by acclaiming superficial , well claims....Indians continue, in my opinion, to be a societally pressurized, insecure people with being dangerously armed with a brain that works in a particular niche. Rock on seems so 80s...we are in 08s not 80s.....

Obama shatters ceilings,myths and the prevalent excuse of the black man about his lack of success!
Need i add more to what has been added all over, but the most intesting aspect on Bamalot's asecendancy is the effect it is going to have on black youth. I have always felt that the black race had it all in 60s and early 70s, driven, led by worthy leaders, out to make a difference, focus on self improvement and could have come out as the most powerful race but they fell on the wayside mainly due to internal factors more than anything else...and always blaming the MAN. Well the man is Black now or are these guys going to call him Unca Tom???
#4 - Cricket Sexy Cricket - as pinter quotes, Cricket is far better than sex.
All things cricket here, end of australia as numero uno, advent of saffers and india, as cricketing powerhouses, stanford's prostituting of cricket, IPL,ICL.
One can read about all the above all over the internet. This year has been one of the greatest compilation of cricketing classic to prove that what a completely high class game cricket is.
But most important cricketing highs for me are well more personal. Holmdel Cricket Club,finishing second,and competing in the newly prestigious NJ20/20 tourney and urs truly wracking up 36 wickets...after 2 years away from cricketing arena....
On same token, us failing to enter finals despite being the best team in league was a definite low....well there is next year....

Last of the pure social network to make its mark
In my opinon,
Facebook is the last of the big monolithic soc net....it has surpassed myspace and will remain as the biggest thing in a monolithic soc network scene. Next to carve in this space is/will be niche based soc networking , facebookonomics (aka socnetonomics) leveraging on FB... in an akins to search engine timeline, myspace and others were the yahoo, altavista lycos..and facebook will be the google of socnetworks.....Likewise, there will be a baidu or two of socnets coming up, but the next big things to cash on are on the economics of social network..

when it is all sexy to be a politician and the name is not kennedy ....
Palin Palin Sarah Palin, she redefined the image of a vp candidate, she actually had men rush to polling booths perhaps in some weird fantasy drive, men and women turning up to see the VP debate, or was it to see what color pumps her lovely legs were going to grace.....? Well tis clear, at least i tuned in once or twice to admire how she looked, laugh at what she said and rolling my eyes at what some people tried to make sense of what she said...Above all, resurrecting SNL...

As in all years of last decade, war, teror, continues to top it....Mumbai1126 was a year when the ego filled indians had themselves pricked...when the seemingly materialistic rat race drivel of mediocrity called indians got a slap on their face and perhaps shed a moment or two of humanity, which unfortunately evolved and boiled over to jingoism, albeit as the flavor of the month as is to be expected....India needs to change its core before it becomes a great nation as it was pre-mughals and pre-brits....that is, when we were a hindu nation.
Well somehow came the top 8, nissed out ..hmmm...mccain's perhaps reverse maverick on GOP?, sydneygate - where black is more beautiful than your own mother and you are white.....Economy Collapso, Mortgage Stinko, WALL Streeters are corrupt and so many others....well perhaps someone else will blog about them.....
